Please join Slow Food Yolo on a one of a kind farm tour up the beautiful Capay Valley to visit a selection of young farmers at the beginning of their farm careers. The tour will begin with all visitors meeting at the first destination: Pasture 42. Tour will then move on to Leap Frog Farm, and finish with a late lunch at Skyelark Ranch. Guests are strongly encouraged to wear flat closed toed shoes, and appropriate clothing for walking around and engaging on a farm. Bathroom facilities provided at all locations. Guests are responsible for bringing their own dishware and utensils- picnic style. Guests are also invited to bring their own wine or other drinks to enjoy during lunch if they so desire. All food will be provided on the tour.

Chef Justin Severson will be catering the luncheon with ingredients drawn from each farm. Justin is currently the executive chef at Road Trip Bar & Grill in Capay. He is the 5 time winner of the “Top Tomato Chef Competition” at the Woodland Tomato Festival and went on to represent Yolo County at the Sacramento Farm to Fork Festival in 2013. Chef Justin has long been committed to sourcing beautiful ingredients from local farms. Lunch promises to be delightful and delicious!
